Quality & certifications
Three inspection gates, in-house and accredited testing, and certifications that are independently audited and regularly renewed.
Checked three times, not signed off once.
Material is cleared before it enters the furnace, chemistry and hardness are verified while the job runs, and nothing is despatched until the final pack is complete.
Raw material inspection
Incoming scrap, ferro-alloys and consumables are verified against specification before release to the melting deck.
In-process inspection
Chemical composition, as-cast hardness and visual inspection while the job is live, so a deviation is caught at the furnace rather than at your gate.
Final inspection
Composition for all pouring heats, dimensional layout, NDT, mechanical properties, micro structure, pull test, drop test and weight tolerance.

Customer and third-party approvals
We hold vendor approvals from cement, mining and railway OEMs, and routinely work under third-party inspection — Lloyd's, SGS, BV, TUV and customer-nominated agencies. Tell us the regime at enquiry stage and we will build it into the order and the price.
What we measure.
Scope is agreed at order stage. The checks below are available in-house or through approved external laboratories.
| Test | Stage | What it confirms |
|---|---|---|
| Chemical composition | Pre-tap and final | Grade conformity, verified on every pouring heat |
| Hardness | In-process and final | That the heat treatment cycle achieved the intended structure |
| Tensile, yield, elongation | Final | Mechanical properties against the specified grade |
| Impact / toughness | Final, on request | Resistance to shock loading in service |
| Micro structure | Final | Austenite retention, absence of carbide networks |
| Radiography | Where specified | Internal soundness — shrinkage, porosity, inclusions |
| Ultrasonic testing | Where specified | Sub-surface discontinuities in heavy sections |
| Dye penetrant / MPI | On request | Surface and near-surface indications |
| Pull and drop test | Final | Load-bearing integrity and impact survivability |
| Dimensional layout | Final | Conformity to drawing including machining allowance |
Paperwork that travels with the casting.
Every consignment ships with records your inspection team can accept without a repeat test, and that let you trace a casting back to its heat years later.
- Heat-wise chemical analysis report
- Mechanical test certificate
- Heat treatment chart with the recorded temperature profile
- NDT reports where radiography or ultrasonics are specified
- Dimensional inspection report against the approved drawing
- Material test certificate and despatch clearance note
